Vashti Bunyan Saturday Film Screening and Friday Music Performance With Matteah Baim  New
Vashti Bunyan has been called "the Godmother of Freak Folk" (NY Press) for her role in inspiring "a new generation of folk experimentalists including Devendra Banhart and Adem." (The Guardian) At 92YTribeca, she joins us for a screening of the new feature documentary directed by Kieran Evans called Vashti Bunyan: From Here To Before that retraces Bunyan's journey across the British Isles and sets it against the backdrop of her first high profile London concert. She then graces our main stage in a rare NYC performance. An event not to be missed.

Matteah Baim belongs to the generation of musicians Bunyan helped to inspire, but she is decidedly her own artist, an intuitive and original performer. Tours with Antony and the Johnsons, Devendra Banhart, Lichens, Pit Er Pat and Jana Hunter have taken her to stages around the world. She plays an opening set.
