 |  |  |  |  | Jessica Dessner, Denny Renshaw & Deborah Johnson: Art from Sufjan Stevens' Run Rabbit Run and The BQE   |  |  |  |  |  |  Please join us for the opening of our gallery exhibition of photographs by Denny Renshaw used for The BQE release, Jessica Dessner's original pencil drawings for the Sufjan Stevens/Osso record, Run Rabbit Run and Deborah Johnson's animated star drawings inspired by Osso and the evening's events.


Jessica Dessner is a poet who began drawing three years ago. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Sal Mimeo, La Petite Zine, The Invisible Stitch, H_NGM_N and Gerry Mulligan. Her chapbook, Wit's End with Bric-a-Brac was published in 2006 by Green Zone. She holds a BA in Dance from Barnard College and completed the New School's MFA program for poetry in 2008. Look for her new series of drawings in June 2010 at bird in Williamsburg.
Denny Renshaw moved to New York in 2000 to pursue photography. His works are explorations of personalities and place, while covering a range of genres including portraits, street photography, music and landscape. Denny has been collaborating with Sufjan Stevens since 2003 and currently lives in Brooklyn.
Deborah Johnson, a multi-disciplinary artist living in Brooklyn, primarily designs and performs live visual projections. She has worked with groups such as Sufjan Stevens, Wilco, Calexico, M. Ward and Lambchop, in such venues as Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden and Wiener Konzerthaus. She has exhibited worldwide in both group and solo shows, screened music videos at several film festivals, designed projections for special events and performed either as a solo VJ (video jockey) or with other artists and musicians. |  |
