The "Big Talk": The Birds and the Bees with Time Out Kids  
Do you cringe at the thought of talking with your children about sex? Learn from a panel of experts in this discussion about how to approach the topic of the birds and the bees. Speakers include certified sexuality educators Amy Levine, founder of the website SexEdSolutions.com and Judith Steinhart, who serves on the Surgeon General's National Advisory Council for Sexual Health. The evening will be introduced by Maureen Shelly, editor-in-chief of Time Out New York Kids and will include Q&As with the audience.

Brief Biography


Judith Steinhart, EdD, is an independent consultant specializing in health and sexuality. She is a trained clinical sexologist and is certified as a sexuality educator, counselor and therapist. Quoted in The Washington and The New York Times and interviewed for Time Inc.'s, health.com podcasts, she is co-creator of Columbia University's popular health information website, Go Ask Alice! She has worked with thousands of students and their families at schools such as Brooklyn College, Stony Brook University, Indiana University, the College of New Rochelle and New York University. Judith currently serves on the editorial board of The American Journal of Sexuality Education and on the National Advisory Council for Sexual Health. Amy Levine, M.A. is a sexologist, sex coach and certified sexuality educator with over 15 years of experience. During more than a decade working at the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS), Amy led a national program to help parents and caregivers communicate with their children about sexuality-related topics. As founder of Sex Ed Solutions, Amy shares her expertise with leading organizations and companies, ensuring a comprehensive approach to sexuality.
