| Sally Tannen, director of the 92nd Street Y Parenting Center, is referred to as the "Parenting Guru." In the words of one mom, "Instead of looking something up in a book, you can just ask Sally." Sally has more than 25 years of experience helping parents cope with questions, fears and challenges related to raising a family. She takes great pride in the relationships she builds with new mothers and in the friendships that form among the parents who attend the Parenting Center's classes. Sally has a B.A. in English from Washington University in St. Louis and an M.A. in early childhood education from the Bank Street College of Education. |

| Ellen Birnbaum, associate director of the 92nd Street Y Nursery School since 1997, believes that "...working in Early Childhood Education is an opportunity to touch children and parents at the most important and perhaps the most joyous time of their lives." She is proud of and energized by the hard work it takes to make fun and learning happen every day. Ellen enjoys being part of our community of educators, instructors, and artists all working together to bring children and their parents opportunities to try new things, learn, and grow. Ellen has a B.A. in art history with a minor in education from New York University and an M.A. in art history from New York University. |

| An expert in parenting and early childhood education, Fretta Reitzes has directed the 92nd Street Y's educational, enrichment and recreational programs for children and families since 1979. Fretta enjoys creating programs for children and families to grow at the Y. She says it is particularly rewarding when parents and children consider the Y "a place to come home to." Fretta is the co-author of Wonderplay, an interactive book of developmentally appropriate, creative activities for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. She holds a B.A. in French and political science from Boston University and an M.A. in early childhood education from the Bank Street College of Education. |

| Nancy Schulman |

| Nancy Schulman has been the director of the 92nd Street Y Nursery School since 1990 and has been involved in independent schools in New York City for over 30 years. She is an educator of parents, teachers, and children and is highly regarded by her colleagues in the New York City early childhood community. Nancy loves to work in an environment where "...it is not possible to stop learning." She believes "...there is no more important time in the life of a family than the first five years" and considers it a privilege to have the chance to make a difference in so many lives. Nancy has a B.S. from Syracuse University and an M.A. from New York University, both in early childhood and elementary education. |
