Wellness Training

If you have a special training need or would like to try an alternative training technique, the 92nd Street Y May Center for Health, Fitness and Sport offers one-on-one and semi-private wellness training sessions conducted by highly skilled trainers in the following areas:
Post-Rehabilitation
Designed to restore full functional capability for those suffering from back, shoulder, hip, knee or foot/ankle problems.
Breast Cancer Recovery
Designed to increase range of motion and strength after surgery.
Osteoporosis
Weight bearing and fall prevention exercises designed to strengthen areas most at risk for osteoporotic fracture: spine, hip, shoulder and wrist.
Cardiac Rehabilitation
A one-to-one alternative to the May Center's Phase III Cardiac Rehab program.
Pre-Natal
Ease pregnancy discomforts, develop body awareness and maintain fitness within the American College of Gynecology guidelines.
Tai Chi Chuan
A series of relaxing and invigorating movements for people of all ages and conditions. Improves balance, coordination, strength and well-being.
Arthritis
Special attention paid to increasing range of motion and reducing stiffness in the joints of the body.
Stretching
Uses different stretch or meditation techniques to increase flexibility and mobility to enhance range of motion.
