NEW YORK SOUNDWALKING EXPERIENCE
Explore the city through sound on an excursion whose primary "focal" point is listening to the environment, rather than seeing it. Your guide, Katie Down is a composer, sound artist, and multi instrumentalist who has created and performed sound scores for US and European theater and dance companies and international festivals. She performs in many different genres including jazz and free improvisation, Sephardic songs from the Balkans with her group Adelantre, and 20s and 30s swing music with Ukuladies.
