Currently, Podium is only publishing work by students who have participated in a Poetry Center workshop or class. Instructors select either a novel excerpt, short story, poem or other work by students who are willing to submit for publication.

Guidelines:
Fiction: 5,000 words or less
Nonfiction: 5,000 words or less
Poetry: 1 poem

Rights:
The Y retains exclusive rights in the Author's work for the first 30 days after its initial publication in Podium. Thereafter, Author grants the Y the non-exclusive rights to publish the work in any format for any purposes, including Y purposes, while providing credit to Author. All work that is accessible to the public via print, the internet or otherwise is considered published. Subject to the 30 day exclusivity, Author maintains the rights to re-print the work in any other publication so long as the publication bears the following designation: This [story/poem] first appeared in Podium, an online literary magazine of the Unterberg Poetry Center at New York's 92nd Street Y, [year of initial publication]. Author's work will remain in the Y archives for future publication, dissemination, public access and for any other Y purposes.  :
