| New York, NY, March, 26, 2008The 92nd Street Y adds three new one-week specialty day camps this summer in fashion, basketball and soccer. They join the Y's other specialty camps in baseball and filmmaking, which were launched last year. These programs supplement the Y's long-running co-ed day camps for children ages 5-15 at the Y's bucolic campgrounds in Rockland County. |

At the 92nd STREET Y FASHION DESIGN CAMP WITH F.I.T., young Project Runway fans can spend a week immersed in the world of fashion design. Under the guidance of an F.I.T. (Fashion Institute of Technology) professor, campers sketch and sew their fashion creations with an eye toward developing both "fashion sense" and a creative flair. Faculty demonstrate different techniques for hand and machine sewing while campers explore how to incorporate a creative idea into an actual design. August 4-8, Ages 9-12. Takes place at the 92nd Street Y in Manhattan.

| 92nd STREET Y BASEBALL, BASKETBALL AND SOCCER SPORTS CAMPS offer intensive one-week sports experiences for boys and girls. Baseball and basketball camps are highlighted by special visits from professional players—Shawn Green and Jamal Mashburn, respectively—who offer advice on specific techniques and game strategy; they also spend some time talking with campers in an informal Q&A session. Kids at all the sports camps spend most of each day focusing on individual skills and team play, with an emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship and lots of fun—with a daily break for swimming—all in the Y's beautiful Rockland County surroundings. |

The 92nd Street Y SHAWN GREEN BASEBALL CAMP features a visit with the former New York Mets outfielder. July 14-18, Ages 8-11. |

Soccer enthusiasts enhance their skills and build self-confidence at the 92nd Street Y SUPER SOCCER STARS CAMP, offered in partnership with the hugely popular New York-based soccer program. July 21-25, Ages 7-10. |

| Back for a second season is the two-week 92nd STREET Y FILMMAKING CAMP, where campers learn basic filmmaking skills and then create their own short films—last year's films featured wacky superheroes battling boredom, a series of "on the pathway" interviews called "The Lunchtime Monologues," and "American Idol: Stranded Edition," in which a singer lost in a forest is saved by a song. Children work with mini-DV digital video cameras and Final Cut Express computer editing equipment; they get to show their films at a special screening (parents welcome) at the end of camp. The camp runs Monday, July 28 to Friday, August 8 at the Y's campgrounds in Rockland County. Monday, July 28—Friday, August 8, Ages 9-12. |

| ABOUT 92nd STREET Y SUMMER CAMPS |
The Y's general-interest, coeducational day camps in Rockland County feature a huge range of activities for children entering grades K-6; there are also two separate camps for children with special needs, ages 5-13. The Y's teen camps include a program that features day trips, overnight trips and activities at the Rockland County campgrounds. The new Havaya International Travel Program gives teens the opportunity to travel to Israel and around the United States in a program that emphasizes cultural exchange (half the students are Israeli) and community service. Short-term sleep-away camps are available for children entering grades 2 through 6. Specialty camps include offerings in arts, filmmaking, science, soccer, gymnastics, basketball and baseball. The Y's youngest campers (3-5 yrs) attend Camp K'Ton Ton, which operates in the Y's Manhattan Nursery School facility.

| ABOUT THE 92nd STREET Y'S PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES |
| From classes for parents-to-be to extensive activities for teens, the 92nd Street Y provides a supportive, noncompetitive environment that allows children and parents to reach their full potential. The groundbreaking Parenting Center, created in 1978 to help new and expectant parents navigate their new roles, has evolved to reflect the needs of today's working mothers, stay-at-home fathers, grandparents and other "non-traditional" caregivers. The Special Needs Program, created in 1983, recognizes the unique needs of this population, while the new Teen Program gives young people a place to share and learn. Established in 1954, the Camp Program offers 12 programs that range from traditional camps to specialty offerings to programs developed for teens; every summer 1,500 children ages 3 to 15 enjoy these programs in the bucolic setting of the Y's Rockland County campgrounds just outside New York City. Finally, throughout the year, activities for children of all ages introduce them to the excitement of science, the inspiration of the arts, and the fun of exercise. To make sure that children and adults of all are able to participate in these programs regardless of economic circumstance, the 92nd Street Y provides nearly $1 million in financial assistance each year. |
