| The 92nd Street Y's Educational Outreach Program empowers young people by making student involvement in the arts its primary goal. The program brings music, dance and fine arts education to 8,000 economically disadvantaged elementary schoolchildren all over the city. |

| The Poetry Center Schools Project program enables public high school students to attend the Monday night reading series at the Poetry Center, meet authors and, through classroom instruction beforehand, to learn about the work of the guest writer. |

| Unterberg Poetry Center Union Settlement Association Adult Literacy Outreach Project |

| The project is designed to encourage students participating in the Adult Literacy Program at the Union Settlement Association in East Harlem to undertake the challenge of improving English skills by reading contemporary literature and participating in creative writing workshops in a carefully structured program. |

| Educational Enrichment |

| Since 1985, the Y's Teen Program has been a center of educational enrichment in New York City bringing students and educators together with cutting edge scientists, writers, social scientists, religious leaders and political thinkers. Using the 92nd Street Y lecture program as the centerpiece, students and teachers have the unique opportunity to participate in a pre-lecture dinner and discussion with the lecturers. |
