| Since 1938, the 92nd Street Y Nursery School has provided a warm and creative atmosphere to foster young children's imagination, curiosity and intellect. Our program facilitates children's social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth through a curriculum attuned to the individual child's unique pattern of development. We believe children learn best in a clearly structured program, which emphasizes creative expression through "hands on" experiences, provides opportunities for play and encourages respect for others. It is our goal to build children's self-esteem so they may develop the confidence to fulfill their potential. We are committed to building a strong sense of community between parents, teachers and children. Celebrating Shabbat and Jewish holidays helps children learn the joy of Jewish culture and heritage. |

| The school is housed on the sixth floor of the Y with nine fully equipped spacious classrooms. Two outdoor terraces and a rooftop playground are available for daily outdoor play. A highly experienced staff trained in early childhood education works with children individually and in groups fostering creative expression through art, music, movement and language. Science, literacy and math activities are an integral part of the program and are geared to the child's growing interests, skills and abilities. |

| Tuition for the academic year 2009-2010 is as follows: |
|
| · 4 & 5-year-olds: 9:00am-2:00pm, Monday-Friday – $24,380 |
|
| · 3-year-olds: 9:00am-12:00pm, Monday-Friday – $19,900 |
|
| · 2-year-olds: two days a week – $12,200 / three days a week – $14,100 |

| Applications Procedures |
|
| Applications and tours for September 2010 are now on a waitlist basis only except for four and five year old applicants. |
|
| All applicants to the school need to begin the admissions process one academic year prior to entry. |
|
Applications are accepted for children who will be ages 2 ½-5 by the time they enter school in September. Children must be 2 years old by March 31st of the year prior to entry.

| Applications are not mailed or handed out. Families must call 212.415.5532 to schedule an appointment for a tour and orientation regarding the school and admissions process. |
|
| Tours are scheduled in October and November and are filled on a first come, first served basis. |
|
| Parents are offered an application at the conclusion of the tour, which must be returned by December. The application fee is $75. |
|
| Inquiries for 4- and 5-year-olds are accepted throughout the year based on space availability.
