| The Noar Program provides transportation from neighborhood schools with the Noar Walker Service or the Noar Bus Service. Noar counselors meet your children at selected neighborhood schools and walk or bus them to the Y, depending on the distance and the total number of children from each particular school. Schools include PS. 6, Solomon Schechter East, Solomon Schechter West, PS. 158, Manhattan New School (PS. 290), Manhattan School for Children, Lab School, PS. 198, PS. 183, Hunter College Elementary, Manhattan Country School and Reece. |
Walker Service: Staff members meet children at specific neighborhood schools and walk them directly to the appropriate room in the Y. |
Noar Bus Service: Staff members meet children at specific schools, accompany them on a Noar bus, and walk them directly to the appropriate room in the Y. |
Independent School Bus/Van Service: Parents may make their own arrangements with private bus companies independently of the 92nd Street Y. (If parents make these arrangements, the Noar Administrator must be informed so that a Noar counselor is available to meet children at the entrance to the Y.) Counselors will then escort children to their appropriate room. Please note: The Y does not accept responsibility for children except when under the supervision of the appropriate employee. |
