Music Studios
The Music School hosts eight Music Rehearsal/Teaching Rooms and the only publicly accessible electronic music lab in the city. Our state-of-the-art music lab is equipped with MIDI keyboards, digital recording equipment, Macintosh computers, and MIDI sequencing software. Eight music studio workstations are available.

Children's scholarships are available through the generous support of the Altman Foundation, the Mary Flagler Cary Charitable Trust, The Ruth Hollander Hertz Memorial Music Scholarship, The Augusta Kahn Memorial Scholarship for Piano, The Leon Russianoff Scholarship in Clarinet, The Anne G. Finaly Memorial Scholarship in Cello, the Ethel K. Solender Memorial Music Fund, the Helen S. Tanenbaum Fund and anonymous donors.

Adult Scholarships are available through the generous support the Mary Flagler Cary Charitable Trust, The Ruth Hollander Hertz Memorial Music Scholarship, The Thomas Liebman Fund and The Friars Foundation in memory of Seymour Goldfield, the Victoria Inskip Scholarship for Voice in memory of Herta Sperber-Hopkins, The Marjorie Schulz Scholarship Fund for Senior Citizens, the Amateur Chamber Music Players and the Clinton B. Ford Fund of its ACMP Foundation, Marvin Schluger, and anonymous donors.

Interested in taking part in special events and recitals? The Music School offers participants exciting opportunities to perform music in front of live audiences through vocal ensembles, choruses and our workshop orchestra.

The Y also offers:
92nd Street Y Community Orchestra
Open to qualified community and professional musicians. A public concert ends the semester on Sunday, January 31. Call 212.415.5580 to schedule an audition on Oct 4. Registration deadline for returning orchestra members is Sep 11.
