| Program Associate, 92nd Street Y Adult Education Program |
As Program Associate in the 92nd Street Y Adult Education Program, David Jacobson develops and manages a wide variety of personal development and singles offerings, and contributes to the Y's celebrated lecture series. His responsibilities include identifying and establishing relationships with experts in a wide variety of fields and, with them, developing innovative programs based on their expertise and New Yorkers' interests and needs. The programs under Mr. Jacobson's oversight address topics like career-development, public speaking, networking, dating, food and wine, bereavement, retirement, real estate, personal finance, and hobbies and games.

Since joining the 92nd Street Y in early 2006, Mr. Jacobson has overhauled the Y's personal growth offerings, eliminating less-popular programs and adding innovative options like behind-the-scenes tours of famous New York locations and meet-the-chef outings at some of New York best fine and ethnic restaurants. Mr. Jacobson has also revitalized the Y's singles workshops, expanding the number of offerings catering to the 40+ population, expanding the number of private post-lecture receptions, programming innovative "structured dating" events, and creating a "TGI Mondays" bar/cocktail series.
In addition to overseeing the 92nd Street Y's personal growth and singles offerings, Mr. Jacobson helps program the Y's renowned lecture program. His thought-provoking series "What One Person Can Do," designed to educate individuals about the difference individuals can make in their society, became a permanent feature of the lecture series after the inaugural year drew several celebrity participants and generated both strong audience response and positive media coverage.

With a professional portfolio that includes work in public relations, sales and marketing, music promotion (for Jazz at Lincoln Center and Manhattan's annual River to River Festival), and campaign work (for Al Gore's 2000 presidential campaign), David Jacobson has brought to the Y a compelling combination of creativity and tenacity.

Mr. Jacobson holds a B.A. in Psychology from Tufts University and an M.A. in the Music & Entertainment Business from New York University. He is an avid reader and saxophone player, and hosts a weekly trivia contest at The Gael Pub on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
