Camp Tova
Ages 6-13
For campers with learning and other developmental disabilities

Camp Tova will be in session from June 30- August 20, 2008.
Children with learning and developmental disabilities thrive in Camp Tova's small group setting. Making friends and developing a wide variety of creative, social, and physical skills are the goals for Tova campers. Tova also provides campers from New York City with an outdoor experience and seeks to give them an appreciation for the natural environment.
Children travel to the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds in Pearl River (Rockland County), New York on air-conditioned coach buses equipped with lavatories. They participate in a variety of camp activities, especially designed to foster each child's emotional, social, and physical growth. They swim each day and participate in a variety of sports, arts, nature, and other activities. On Fridays, Tova goes on trips to such destinations as the beach, a small zoo, amusement parks, bowling, etc.
Counselors and specialists have a background in special education and are committed to providing each child with a positive and rewarding summer experience. Our small (approximately 4-to-1) camper to staff ratio ensures that each camper receives individualized attention.
Camp registration cannot be processed online. To register a child for Camp Tova, parents must first complete an intake form, and the family will have an interview with the camp director to assess the child's suitability for the program.
