Tevah's unique program opens our campers' minds and stimulates their thinking through exciting bi-weekly trips, hands-on science exploration, programs in our interactive nature center, and much more. The small camp setting provides a comfortable environment for building knowledge, friendships and self-esteem. Campers feel challenged by the variety of recreational and "hands-on" learning opportunities while interacting with the great outdoors. The combination of days spent in a traditional camp setting with Tevah's trips to various sites are sure to broaden your child's horizons. The overnight at the end of the session highlights six weeks your child will surely remember.

| Who are Tevah campers and how many campers are in each group? |
Tevah is a close-knit program with approximately 40 campers. 10-15 campers are grouped with 2 counselors per group.
Campers are boys and girls entering 3rd-6th grade. They come from all areas of Manhattan and represent a variety of public and private schools. They all possess a particular interest in nature and the environment and enjoy Tevah for its mix of science and nature-related program with more traditional camp activities such as swimming and sports. Although no science background is necessary, many of the activities will incorporate a hands-on investigation of the natural and physical world. Many campers choose Tevah because they are looking for a camp that focuses on more than just sports and swimming as many other camps do.

| What activities and trips do you offer? |
Past popular projects include kite building, outdoor shelter building, birding, fishing, sunprints, dissections, solar cooking, and a visit from local astronomers. Camp Tevah focuses on the dynamic exploration of science and nature at the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds. Campers also experience the thrill of our climbing tower and zip line, arts & crafts, sports such as soccer and kickball, boating, archery and so much more. On days spent at the Campgrounds, Tevah campers swim in large in-ground pools. Pools are staffed by water instructors and certified Red Cross lifeguards.
Twice each week Tevah goes on field trips. We try to create a diversified calendar of trips and hope to bring campers to new destinations that they've not previously seen. Museums, nature preserves, marshes, aquaria, and other outdoor education sites appeal to the curious minds of our campers. Tevah also includes an overnight trip that is always a highlight for our campers.
