Eight Ways to Give: Bequests

Including the 92nd Street Y in Your Will
A bequest is simple, straightforward means to create a legacy that enables the 92nd Street Y to continue to bring programs of the highest caliber to its community. Bequests to the Y can be made in several forms. A bequest can be easily established by having your attorney write a simple and inexpensive codicil to your existing will.
Here is an example of how to word a bequest to the Y:

"I give and bequeath (the sum of _______________ Dollars) or (_______ percent of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate) to the 92nd Street Y to be used by the Y for its general purposes.
An Unrestricted Bequest enables the 92nd Street Y to direct your gift to where it will have the greatest impact. But if you wish to fund a specific area or interest, a Restricted Bequest is also possible.

A bequest is a precious gift—one that will help ensure that the 92nd Street Y will continue to entertain, educate and enrich the lives of our children and our community.

For more information about language your can use when planning your will, please contact 212-415-5678 or email.

Planned gifts like Bequests entitle donors to membership in the 92nd Street Y Partners, a group of generous individuals who have chosen to remember the institution in their estate plans.
