Daniel Levy

As a Teaching Artist, curriculum writer and consultant, composer Daniel Levy’s unique creative perspective and musical insight have energized workshops, classes and new curriculum for grades pre-k through 12, college and graduate students, and faculty and administrators in New York City since 1988. He has worked in association with the Lincoln Center Institute for the Arts in Education, the 92nd Street Y Educational Outreach Center and SoundGarden programs, Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute, the Harmony Program (El Systema in America), Symphony Space, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Musicians for Harmony, Young Audiences New York and Park Avenue Armory. Daniel's current classroom practice includes an ongoing composing and music technology workshop with 1st and 2nd Graders at PS24X for Little Orchestra Society, as well as a noted music workshop for inmates at Sing Sing Correctional Facility for Carnegie Hall. His dynamic classroom presence and ability to collaborate with classroom teachers have made him one of New York’s favorite Teaching Artists.
