Hendrika Sonnenberg holds a BFA from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has exhibited at Friedrich Petzel, Cohan and Leslie, Nyehaus in New York and also internationally at Chez Valentin (Paris), Markus Winter (Berlin), CAG (Vancouver) and AGNS (Halifax). She has been a visiting artist and has lectured at numerous universities including Yale University, University of Illinois, Boston Museum School, American University (Washington, D.C.) and Rhode Island School of Art and Design. Hendrika Sonnenberg’s work is held in the collections of many public and private institutions: Museum of Modern Art (New York), Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, Judith Rothschild Foundation, Peter Norton Foundation.
