Rick Diaz studied fine art and art education at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. He teaches art at the Special Music School of America in New York City for grades K to 8. He works in a variety of media including photography, drawing, music and video. His visual art work is mostly representational and conceptual. His work explores issues of individualism, identity, human rights and the media, including television and advertising. Rick is originally from Los Angeles, California.
