Catherine Reed Named New Development Director (3.10.11)

New York, NY: March 10, 2011Catherine Reed has been named Director of Development at 92nd Street Y, the renowned Jewish cultural and community center in New York City. Reed will oversee all of 92Y’s fundraising strategies and operations in areas including corporate support, government and foundation grants, board development, individual giving and special events.

Reed was most recently National Director of Development for Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, where she began in 1996 as Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations. Prior to Hadassah, Reed handled daily operations and financial management for the Civic Education Project in New Haven, CT; was a Finance Associate for Creditanstalt International Advisers; and a Program Coordinator for Harvard’s Russian Research Center (she speaks Russian). She earned an M.B.A. in Marketing and International Business at NYU, an A.M. at Harvard, where she studied Russian and East European politics and economics; and a B.A. from the University of Houston, where she studied comparative politics and development.
