Debbie is the former principal horn of the Mexico City Philharmonic. In the New York area, Ms. Schmidt has made solo appearances with the Hofstra Orchestra, Westchester Chamber Orchestra, Lincoln Center presents "Principally Poulenc" festival, Bard Festival, Orchestra of the Bronx, Vassar College Chorale, and Long Island Choral Society. With the Modern Brass Quintet Debbie has toured the Northeast, appearing in recital and school concerts reaching thousands of children. In this area, she has appeared in education and outreach programs for the New York Philharmonic, Carnegie Hall, Midori, Princeton Symphony and New Philharmonic of New Jersey.
