92YServes Teen Center Mission Statement
The 92YServes Teen Center strives to exemplify 92nd Street Y’s work in youth development as we reach out to middle and high school students — both in public and private schools across New York City — providing service-learning opportunities designed to foster their leadership abilities, encourage their development of new skills and talents, and broaden their academic knowledge and understanding of their community. Through their participation, teens will earn credit towards school service requirements and provide valuable assistance to partner programs and organizations, some of which depend on volunteer assistance to maintain their day-to-day operations.
*The 92YServes Teen Center staff provides all participants with a safe haven as well as necessary assistance in the case of family emergencies, personal or school issues, or other distressed needs.
Here you will learn about various opportunities for teens to take part in community service projects, lectures and many other programs.
Over the years, the Teen Center has worked with thousands of teens, from various backgrounds all over NYC, who have participated in various programs and left their stamp on each one of them. Here, you will find information on each one of our programs. We hope that you will discover a program that will interest you and make you a part of the 92Y family.
