We offer a wide range of activities and programs for parents and young children, and provide information, resources and support. But the classes are something to see, too—at Kids in the Kitchen, toddlers learn to follow direction, knead, mix, stir, pour and taste their own creations.

 
  • 1/4 pound cream cheese
  • 1/4 pound butter
  • 1 cup flour (sifted)
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon and sugar mixture
  • optional: jam, raisins, nuts

Let the cream cheese and butter get soft. Mush cream cheese in bowl. Add in butter. Mix well. Add flour and cinnamon mixture. Form mixture into two equal balls. Make into two 8- or 9-inch pancakes between two sheets of waxed paper. Chill in refrigerator.

Sprinkle each round with additional cinnamon and sugar mixture. Spread each circle with jam or raisins or nuts, or a combination of all three. With a sharp knife, cut each round into 16 pieshaped pieces. Starting at wide side of pie shape, roll each wedge towards the pointed side. Sprinkle with additional cinnamon if desired, and bake in a 350-degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
