Highlights include Isadora’s “Impressions of Soviet Russia” featuring two group works set to Russian Worker’s songs and three Scriabin etudes Mother, Revolutionary and The Crossing at St. Petersburg, choreographed by Isadora Duncan between 1920-24 in Russia. Hear third-generation Duncan dancers Lori Belilove and Beth Jucovy, the internationally acclaimed interpreter, teacher and director of Duncan repertory, and Artistic Director of Dance Visions NY, as they talk about the life and art of the legendary Isadora Duncan, the creator of modern dance. Moderated by dance and culture critic Elizabeth Kendall.

Brief Biographies
Lori Belilove's direct lineage and prestigious performing career have earned her an international reputation as the premier interpreter and ambassador of the dance of Isadora Duncan. She is the leading dancer in the award-winning PBS documentary Isadora Duncan: Movement From the Soul. Ms. Belilove is the founder of The Isadora Duncan Dance Foundation and Artistic director of The Isadora Duncan Dance Company, the pre-eminent Duncan Company performing in the world today. The Company has performed to national and international acclaim in dance festivals around the world including Russia, Hungary, Mexico, Canada, Germany and South America as well as in many prestigious New York venues.
Elizabeth Kendall is a dance and culture critic and an associate professor at Eugene Lang College of New School. She has taught at Columbia University, Princeton, Bard College, and is the author of four books: Where She Danced: The Birth of American Art-Dance (Knopf, l979; U. of California Press ’80), The Runaway Bride: Hollywood Romantic Comedy of the l930’s (Knopf, l990; Anchor-Doubleday l991; Cooper Square Press, 2002); American Daughter, a memoir (Random House, 2000; paperback on demand from Random House); and Autobiography of a Wardrobe (Pantheon 2006, Anchor/Vintage 2007), and is at work on a book about the youth of master choreographer George Balanchine in Russia and his ballerina-classmate, Lidiia Ivanova.

Who is eligible for priority registration?
Individuals who have participated in 92nd Street Y programs over the past year in selected program areas, participants in certain memberships, and those who have made contributions of $500 or more to 92Y, are eligible to register for programs before they become available to the general public.
How do I know if I qualify?
Patrons that qualify for Priority Registration will receive packets in the mail explaining how to purchase online. Priority registration is normally mailed 2-3 weeks before a catalog is available. Registration information includes your Patron ID#. You can use this ID# to setup your login information online. This will allow you to register early for a course or event. Please note: if you receive a packet, you are only eligible to priority register for the programs covered in your packet.
