Bios

Mike Barnicle is a veteran print and broadcast journalist, radio personality, and social and political commentator. A regular on MSNBC’s highly rated morning program Morning Joe, Mike Barnicle is best known for his street-smart, straightforward commentary and writing style that gives voice to “every man.” The Massachusetts native has written more than 4,000 columns collectively for the Boston Herald, New York Daily News, and The Boston Globe, where he rose to prominence with his hard-hitting and often heart-wrenching must-read columns. Mike Barnicle’s articles and commentary have also been published in Time magazine, Newsweek/The Daily Beast, The Huffington Post, ESPN The Magazine, Grantland, and Esquire, among others.

Steven Rattner is Chairman of Willett Advisors LLC, the investment arm for New York Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg’s personal and philanthropic assets. In addition, he is a Contributing Writer for the Op-Ed page of The New York Times, the author of a monthly column for the Financial Times and the Economic Analyst for MSNBC’s "Morning Joe." Previously, Mr. Rattner served as Counselor to the Secretary of the Treasury and led the Obama Administration’s successful effort to restructure the automobile industry, which he chronicled in his book, Overhaul: An Insider’s Account of the Obama Administration’s Emergency Rescue of the Auto Industry.

Jon Meacham is the author of Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power, which is to be published on Nov. 13. The executive editor and executive vice president of Random House, Meacham is a contributing editor to Time magazine.

For three decades, Mark McKinnon has been solving complex strategic challenges for causes, companies and candidates, including George W. Bush, John McCain, Ann Richards, Charlie Wilson and Bono. He has helped engineer five winning presidential primary and general election campaigns, and is a cofounder of No Labels, a non-profit organization dedicated to bipartisanship, civil discourse and problem solving in politics. McKinnon is a regular columnist for The Daily Beast and the Daily Telegraph (U.K.), and is currently a fellow at the Institute of Politics at Harvard University.

Eligible patrons will be able to order priority registration online.

 

Who is eligible for priority registration?

Individuals who have participated in 92nd Street Y programs over the past year in selected program areas, participants in certain memberships, and those who have made contributions of $500 or more to 92Y, are eligible to register for programs before they become available to the general public.

How do I know if I qualify?

Patrons that qualify for Priority Registration will receive packets in the mail explaining how to purchase online. Priority registration is normally mailed 2-3 weeks before a catalog is available. Registration information includes your Patron ID#. You can use this ID# to setup your login information online. This will allow you to register early for a course or event. Please note: if you receive a packet, you are only eligible to priority register for the programs covered in your packet.
