Jamie Cristello received her Masters in Dance Education from New York University and is a NYS certified Dance Teacher (PreK-12). She also holds a Bachelors in Television-Radio with minors in Dance and Psychology from Ithaca College. Jamie is a licensed Zumba Kids instructor. Jamie received her early dance training in Schenectady, NY where she studied tap, jazz and ballet. As a professional she has studied with a variety of renowned artists including Jason Samuels Smith, Shane Sparks, Tony Meredith & Melanie La Patin, and Wade Robson. She has performed locally and regionally with several organizations including Ya’el Tap Dance Company and for the semi-professional sports teams: the Albany Conquest, the Albany Metro-Mallers and the Albany Patroons. Jamie is passionate about integrating academic subjects with dance education, and she is excited to continue inspiring young artists in partnership with 92nd Street Y.
