The Small Poem Seminar and Studio
The pungency of the brief remark is the subject of our seminar and studio which is designed both for poets and for readers of poetry.
We read and write the small poem, deciphering its mysteries and making its power our own as we consider works by Sappho, Basho, Hardy, Dickinson, Crapsey, Williams, Creeley, Szymborska, Gospodinov, Ammons, Pound, Menashe, Neidecker, Swir, Angelova and many others. Partial, prorated enrollment permitted. Students who must miss a class receive email responses to their poems.
4 sessions: Feb 12, 19, 26, Mar 11: $385
