Dip into Photoshop in 92Y's photo lab and prowl the park with your camera. Draw with light to make photograms, and create photo essays that explore the expressive power of the medium that never lies — but always does! Students provide their own digital cameras.

    Instructor: Lily Landes  show bio

    Lily Landes is a documentary and portrait photographer currently based in Brooklyn, New York. In 2014, she completed the International Center of Photography's Documentary and Photojournalism Graduate Program where she was the recipient of the Dow Jones Scholarship for Photojournalism by the Wall Street Journal.

    Lily's work has been exhibited and featured by the ICP Museum, National Geographic, Flak photo, Featureshoot, The Humble Arts Foundation, USA Today, Mental Floss, Kolaj Magazine and Atlas Obscura among others.

    She is currently working as a photography teacher at 92Y, The University Settlement and The Creative Center and recently worked as a studio assistant and archivist for New York street photographer, Joel Meyerowitz. She is also a regular photographer for The Pablove Foundation and in addition to her documentary work, runs her own

Who is eligible for priority registration?

Individuals who have participated in 92nd Street Y programs over the past year in selected program areas, participants in certain memberships, and those who have made contributions of $500 or more to 92Y, are eligible to register for programs before they become available to the general public.

How do I know if I qualify?

Patrons that qualify for Priority Registration will receive packets in the mail explaining how to purchase online. Priority registration is normally mailed 2-3 weeks before a catalog is available. Registration information includes your Patron ID#. You can use this ID# to setup your login information online. This will allow you to register early for a course or event. Please note: if you receive a packet, you are only eligible to priority register for the programs covered in your packet.
