Marketing Ceramics

Ayumi Horie, James Klein and David Reid

Recent developments in technology have made promoting handmade ceramics through personal websites as well as commercial sites such as Etsy and Artfire easier than ever.

Join the well-known ceramic designers KleinReid and potter Ayumi Horie for a collaborative two-day workshop addressing the marketing and selling of handmade ceramics. Both KleinReid and Horie use a variety of marketing techniques including the extensive use of the Internet. After presenting their strategies developed over years of experience, participants are asked to do a short presentation of their own marketing plans and be given feedback on how each can best develop marketing plans appropriate for his or her own work.
