Start your day with a fun ballet-based beginner ballet workout!

The Beginner Ballet Workout is a total body workout that can improve your posture, tone your muscles, increase flexibility, improve balance and coordination, and strengthen your core. Basic beginning ballet exercises and movements are taught along with stretching and strengthening techniques, and set to beautiful and inspiring classical music. Taught by Holly Kerr, a former certified instructor, instructor trainer and teaching artist for the New York City Ballet Workout. While comfortable ballet or workout clothes and shoes are all you need, jazz shoes and dance sneakers are recommended.

    Holly Kerr received the highest technical and artistic ballet training at the Univ. North Carolina School of the Arts and loves to share this knowledge with her students! She was a soloist with ballet companies in North Carolina and Colorado, a principal dancer of MGM’s Hallelujah Hollywood! and appeared as a dancer, singer and actress in theatre, Broadway, film, television and USA and world tours. For 12 years, Holly was a certified instructor/instructor trainer for the New York City Ballet Workout and served as teaching artist/teacher trainer for New York City Ballet’s New York City Ballet Workout high school program. Holly served as teaching artist for American Ballet Theatre and choreographer for ABT’s Make a Ballet program. She is a ballet teaching artist for New York City Center. 92Y YourStage provides a venue for independent curators, performers, and educators to mount a professional production. Yourstage events are confirmed once they meet a threshold for ticket sales by a certain date.

YourStage events that are ON have been confirmed; PENDING events need to generate more ticket sales; If an event fails to generate enough ticket sales, the event will be CALLED OFF, and all ticket holders will be refunded.

Who is eligible for priority registration?

Individuals who have participated in 92nd Street Y programs over the past year in selected program areas, participants in certain memberships, and those who have made contributions of $500 or more to 92Y, are eligible to register for programs before they become available to the general public.

How do I know if I qualify?

Patrons that qualify for Priority Registration will receive packets in the mail explaining how to purchase online. Priority registration is normally mailed 2-3 weeks before a catalog is available. Registration information includes your Patron ID#. You can use this ID# to setup your login information online. This will allow you to register early for a course or event. Please note: if you receive a packet, you are only eligible to priority register for the programs covered in your packet.
