92Y’s Educational Outreach teaching artists (TAs) are a highly talented and diverse community of professional musicians, dancers, visual artists, actors, playwrights and composers. Regardless of artistic discipline, 92Y TAs have in common a strong commitment to sharing their expertise with New York City public school children, so that they can discover their strength, vitality and voice through the arts. By building artistic and creative capacity in both students and classroom teachers, TAs are catalysts for weaving the arts into the fabric of each unique school environment and enabling the seamless integration of arts into the core curriculum. Through their influence and ability to teach and inspire, we move closer to making high quality arts learning a reality for all NYC children.
