Monarch Artists returns with a heartfelt evening blending Mexican rhythms with urban soul.
SLV is the solo project of singer-songwriter Sandra Lilia Velasquez. After recording three studio albums and touring extensively with her band Pistolera, she is releasing her solo debut EP Dig Deeper in 2013. The four-song recording was produced by ten-time Grammy nominee and legendary bassist Meshell Ndegeocello, who plays bass on three of the songs.
Sweet Electra’s debut album Lying To Be Sweet, released in 2002 by Nopal Beat and EMI Records has earned international success with its blend of acid cabaret, deep house and trip-hop beats with elements of jazz and bossa nova. The album is influenced by Mexican rhythms of the 1950’s, with lyrics in Portuguese, French, English and Spanish. Sweet Electra has played sold-out shows throughout Mexico and abroad at various international music festivals. In 2006, they performed in New York at the legendary Joe's Pub for the Celebrate Mexico Now.
The group’s second album, CAMA was released independently in 2006. They are now based in New York City.

Who is eligible for priority registration?
Individuals who have participated in 92nd Street Y programs over the past year in selected program areas, participants in certain memberships, and those who have made contributions of $500 or more to 92Y, are eligible to register for programs before they become available to the general public.
How do I know if I qualify?
Patrons that qualify for Priority Registration will receive packets in the mail explaining how to purchase online. Priority registration is normally mailed 2-3 weeks before a catalog is available. Registration information includes your Patron ID#. You can use this ID# to setup your login information online. This will allow you to register early for a course or event. Please note: if you receive a packet, you are only eligible to priority register for the programs covered in your packet.
