The Nields’ story begins with two sisters, Nerissa and Katryna, who grew up singing folk songs in the kitchen and in the back seat of the family car.
They bring that same playful family spirit to their concerts, whether they are signing about organic farms, superhero soup or caterpillars!
As a duo, the sisters have toured nationally for years and have shared the stage with Natalie Merchant, Suzanne Vega, Sarah McLachlan, Dar Williams, The Indigo Girls, James Taylor, Joan Baez, the Band, 10,000 Maniacs, Billy Bragg, Dan Zanes and countless others, all of whom informed and enhanced their musical repertoire.
"Our parents were total folkies," says Nerissa. "Their first date was a Pete Seeger concert and their second was a Harry Belafonte concert. We used to go to a family camp in the Adirondacks every summer where people sat around a fire. That's where I learned how to finger-pick. We grew up on simple folk songs."
Tickets $15, babies under 2-years-old are free.

Priority registration puts you at the front of the line to register for courses and events for an upcoming semester.
Eligible patrons will be able to order priority registration online.
Who is eligible for priority registration?
Individuals who have participated in 92nd Street Y programs over the past year in selected program areas, participants in certain memberships, and those who have made contributions of $500 or more to 92Y, are eligible to register for programs before they become available to the general public.
How do I know if I qualify?
Patrons that qualify for Priority Registration will receive packets in the mail explaining how to purchase online. Priority registration is normally mailed 2-3 weeks before a catalog is available. Registration information includes your Patron ID#. You can use this ID# to setup your login information online. This will allow you to register early for a course or event. Please note: if you receive a packet, you are only eligible to priority register for the programs covered in your packet.
