An evening of literary hi-jinks, state-sponsored fear, vampires, music, sex and smokin’-hot smarty-pants thrills!!!

Author and provocateur Mike Edison hosts the wildest edition yet of his annual party celebrating “Banned Book Week,” joined by the Interstellar Rendezvous Band. Twirling a beatnik’s brew of outer-space bop and dirty blues, the all-star band features drummers Bob Bert (Sonic Youth), Dee Pop (Bush Tetras, Gun Club), and keyboard ace Mickey Finn (the Left Banke), along with Edison on his patented set-for-stun Theremin.

Featuring special guests:
Mike Albo
Kevin Maher
Joe McGinty
Judy McGuire

Edison performs his pragmatic and hilarious piece “How to Write a Porn Novel,” and a selection from his latest outrage, the X-rated political satire, Bye Bye, Miss American Pie (available in September), which he hopes one day will be banned.

As always, the show ends with the legendary “Name That Banned Book Contest.”

Come on out and see how well you know your banned and censored classics! Count on prizes, surprises and a headful of fun.
