Learn about an array of neighboring buildings such as the Tweed Courthouse, Surrogate’s Court, the Municipal Building, the Potter Building and the original New York Times Building.
Then, enjoy a one-hour tour of the exterior and interior of City Hall, an elegant masterpiece completed in 1812. (Note: Our tour guide has special permission to go behind the scenes in City Hall, but due to the current restoration, not all areas of City Hall will be open for viewing.) End the tour in beautiful City Hall Park.
This tour is approximately 2 hours long.
The meeting place for the City Hall and Civic Center tours will be Foley Square which is bordered by Worth Street, Centre Street and Lafayette Street. It is north of City Hall and is reachable by the 4, 5, 6 trains - Brooklyn Bridge stop. It is the park and plaza in front of the New York Supreme Court Building. We meet at the south side of the fountain in Foley Square.
