Jesse Boykins III is a rare breed of vocalist: not only can he command a live ensemble with just a lilting blues croon, but he also brings out the soul in a range of instruments.
With drums, bass, guitar, violins and brass all part of his palette, Jesse has crafted two albums so far. His soothing voice and innovative arrangements won him a 2010 Soul Train Award nomination, and his debut single catapulted him to BET’s "Music Matters" and "106 and Park" fame. Currently, Jesse is readying his third album, Love Apparatus, with producer Machine Drum. With the lead single "B4 the Night is Thru," recently released on Robert "Bobbito" García’s vinyl label Alala Records, he's delighted fans and critics alike with the evolution of his sound. Jesse considers himself a musical explorer. In his own words: “I create World Soul that marks moments in time. Each time I introduce new music to my fans, I want it to become a defining part of their lives as much as it is a part of mine.” 92YTribeca is thrilled to have him back on our mainstage for what promises to be a special and intimate night of soulful R&B.

Who is eligible for priority registration?
Individuals who have participated in 92nd Street Y programs over the past year in selected program areas, participants in certain memberships, and those who have made contributions of $500 or more to 92Y, are eligible to register for programs before they become available to the general public.
How do I know if I qualify?
Patrons that qualify for Priority Registration will receive packets in the mail explaining how to purchase online. Priority registration is normally mailed 2-3 weeks before a catalog is available. Registration information includes your Patron ID#. You can use this ID# to setup your login information online. This will allow you to register early for a course or event. Please note: if you receive a packet, you are only eligible to priority register for the programs covered in your packet.
