How long is the gymnastics season?

The gymnasts work out September through June of each year. During the summer, the gymnast may choose to do camp in order to keep up with their skills. The competitive season runs from January through June.

What are the days and times for each level?

Pre-Team B:

Tuesday & Thursday, 4:45 pm-6 pm

Pre-Team A:

Tuesday & Thursday, 4:30 pm-6:20 pm
Saturday, 9:30am-12 pm (optional)

Level 3:

Monday & Wednesday, 4-6:20 pm
Saturday, 9:30 am-12 pm (optional)

Level 4:

Monday & Wednesday, 3:45 pm-6:20 pm

What is the cost?

To find out the cost of each level, please call the team office at 212.415.5726.

Are there payment plans?

Payment plans can be arranged if need be. Families that are on a payment plan have to keep current. If a family stops payment, the child's spot on the team will be taken away.

Are there refunds?

Under no circumstances are there refunds. The gymnast is taking a spot from someone else we could have placed on the team. Therefore, once you pay your spot is reserved for the whole season.

Who are the coaches?

All GymStar coaches are USA Gymnastics safety-certified as well as qualified professionals. For more information on each coach, please visit the Meet the Coaches page.

Where is the gym located?

We are located at 92nd Street and Lexington Avenue on the 4th floor.

How often does the gymnastics team compete?

The competitive season runs January through June. There are usually two to three meets a month and each gymnast is required to compete in at least five of the scheduled meets. If a conflict occurs, the head coach should be notified.

Where are the meets held?

Most of the meets are held within New York State.

Who can try out?

Anyone is welcome to try out for the GymStars Gymnastics Team. Acceptance to the team is based on the number of available spaces on the team, the ability of the gymnast and the age of the gymnast.
