You want to create. You want to stretch your imagination. You want to be more than inspired — you want to be moved.
Our community of eager students and accomplished faculty — including artists, designers, photographers and historians — is the perfect place to explore and grow your art practice.
92Y Gilda and Henry Block School of the Arts’ program in Fine Art & Design will introduce you to a passionate community of fellow creators. Whether you’re looking for an art class that will teach you new techniques, or interested in a workshop that will help you perfect methods you’ve already tried, the opportunities for artistic exploration are endless. Classes for children, teens and adults are taught by professional artists who provide individual instruction in small group settings.
Take advantage of our five fully-equipped studios, featuring easels, stools, drawing tables, painting tables, slop sinks and ventilation fans to accommodate all types of drawing, watercolor and painting.
Students must purchase their own art supplies and are provided with a supply list upon registration. A limited number of lockers are available for students to rent for a nominal fee on a yearly basis. Students can check on locker availability during the first week of the fall and spring semesters. For information call 212.415.5562 / email.
