Issue 3

For the third issue of Podium, eleven students were selected from the spring session of the Unterberg Poetry Center's workshops—taught by poets Marie Ponsot, Rachel Wetzsteon, Glyn Maxwell and Molly McQuade; fiction writers Katherine Mosby and Stephen Wright; nonfiction writers Joyce Johnson and Daphne Merkin; and playwright Han Ong. It is always exciting for us to see, when putting together the issue, the amazing work that the students produce while in the writing program. We are honored to publish their work here.

Jason Geller, our featured photographer, lives in Greenpoint, Brooklyn—the site of his current photo project. Each of Geller's photographs evokes a story and a mood, just as a stirring piece of writing does.

We are continuously adding new podcasts and video clips as they become available from our Reading Series events. Get the recap or read an interview with authors who have appeared at the Y on our blog, and stay in-the-know about the newest Poetry Center events and classes by signing up for our eNews. The best part about all of this is: it's free.

Enjoy!
