Corrie Cooper

Corrie has a diverse theatrical background, which includes performing, theater and event production, creative development and teaching. Corrie holds a B.F.A. in Drama with an emphasis in Musical Theater from NYU/ CAP21 studio, where she graduated with honors and an achievement award. She has appeared regionally in over 25 musicals from Annie to A Chorus Line and has been performing in various capacities since age 3. For over 12 years, Corrie has worked both individually and with various production companies as a Creative Producer, Director, Production Manager and Stage Manager on over 100 special events, working in both national and international venues. Clients include Google, MasterCard, NYU, United Way of America, NY Yankees, NY Building Congress, Autism Speaks and the Int’l Tennis Hall of Fame. NYC-based special events include “Broadway on Broadway,” the Drama Desk Awards, the Tony Awards, the US Open and the “World Record-Breaking Longest Kick Line” in Times Square.

Corrie has also directed and/or choreographed several local musical theater productions. She maintains a position on the dance faculty at CAP21 and on the dance and musical theater faculties at 92nd Street Y. Corrie serves as the Artistic Director of CYT NYC, an affiliate of Christian Youth Theater (CYT), which started in 1981 and has grown to be the largest youth theater in the nation.
