Carly Berrett is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. She received her MFA in dance from the University of Utah and her BA from Brigham Young University. She was an assistant professor at the University of Utah Department of Modern Dance from 2006-2009. Carly currently teaches intermediate and advanced technique at Dance New Amsterdam in New York City as a guest artist. She also teaches dance to public school children K-5 across the five boroughs of New York City. She has been fortunate enough to work with Gesel Mason, Doug Varone, Megan Bascom, Kathleen Dyer, Bill Evans, Stephen Koester, Jose Navas and performed in the works of Alwin Nikolais, Helen Tamiris and Glen Tetley. Carly is a dance and documentary filmmaker and has shown her films across the country and internationally.
