Rachel Guardiola is a mix media artist who lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Her work investigates the physicality of light as a drawing medium, and the ability of technology to bridge the gap between art and science, micro and macro worlds, by allowing the viewer to visualize the edge of sight. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design, and is currently studying as a graduate student at Parsons The New School of Design Department of Photography and Related Media. From 2009 to 2011, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer under the Department of Environmental Education in Senegal, West Africa. During this time, she worked with the local school district to design curriculums that implemented visual learning tools, and organized a student inspired photography project and exhibition.
