Naomi Goldberg Haas choreographs dynamic concert dances with diverse communities. Her performing group, Dances for a Variable Population, aims to erase the border between dancer and non-dancer, returning dance to its initial wellspring: joy. Working with both older adults and professional dancers, Naomis highly designed classes emphasize the value of cross-training between health/fitness and the expressive language of dance. She has taught at California State University Long Beach and Loyola Marymount University and in addition to teaching at teaching at the Harkness Dance Center of the 92nd Street Y, she also has classes at New York University, the Rod Rodgers Dance Studio and Dance New Amsterdam. Artistic residencies include the The Fields Artward Bound/White Oak Plantation and The Yard, where she serves as an Advisory Board member. She holds an MFA from NYUs Tisch School of The Arts, a BA From Barnard College, Columbia University and has performed with Pacific Northwest.
