Johnny Iuzzini was the executive pastry chef of the world-renowned Jean-Georges restaurant in New York City for 10 years and was recognized as one of the 10 Most Influential Pastry Chefs in America by Forbes. He currently runs his own pastry and culinary arts consulting company named Sugar Fueled, Inc.

Johnny will be signing copies of his new book, Sugar Rush following this event.

 

Brief Bios

Johnny Iuzzini, winner of the James Beard Award for “Outstanding Pastry Chef” and recognized as one of the “10 Most Influential Pastry Chefs” in America by Forbes, was the executive pastry chef of the world-renowned Jean-Georges restaurant in New York City for 10 years and also the head judge of "Top Chef: Just Desserts." He currently runs his own pastry and culinary arts consulting company named Sugar Fueled, Inc.

Michael Laiskonis has been Creative Director of New York City’s Institute of Culinary Education since 2012. Previously, as Executive Pastry Chef at Le Bernardin for eight years, his work helped the restaurant maintain three stars from the Michelin Guide and four stars from The New York Times. He was awarded Outstanding Pastry Chef in 2007 by the James Beard Foundation, and during his five year tenure as Pastry Chef at Tribute in Detroit, Pastry Art and Design twice named him one of the “10 Best Pastry Chefs in America”. In 2014, the International Association of Culinary Professionals tapped him as its “Culinary Professional of the Year”. He was named Bon Appétit’s 2004 “Pastry Chef of the Year” and Starchefs.com declared him a Rising Star in 2006.

92Y YourStage provides a venue for independent curators, performers, and educators to mount a professional production. Yourstage events are confirmed once they meet a threshold for ticket sales by a certain date.

YourStage events that are ON have been confirmed; PENDING events need to generate more ticket sales; If an event fails to generate enough ticket sales, the event will be CALLED OFF, and all ticket holders will be refunded.

Who is eligible for priority registration?

Individuals who have participated in 92nd Street Y programs over the past year in selected program areas, participants in certain memberships, and those who have made contributions of $500 or more to 92Y, are eligible to register for programs before they become available to the general public.

How do I know if I qualify?

Patrons that qualify for Priority Registration will receive packets in the mail explaining how to purchase online. Priority registration is normally mailed 2-3 weeks before a catalog is available. Registration information includes your Patron ID#. You can use this ID# to setup your login information online. This will allow you to register early for a course or event. Please note: if you receive a packet, you are only eligible to priority register for the programs covered in your packet.
