The couple that plays together, stays together.

Real-life couple Megan Mullally (“Will & Grace”) and Nick Offerman (“Parks and Recreation”) star together in the new off-Broadway play Annapurna, beginning April 13 at The New Group @ Theatre Row. They join us to talk about staying together, onstage and off.

Bios

Megan Mullally is best known for her role as Karen Walker on "Will & Grace," for which she was awarded two Emmys, four Screen Actors Guild awards and five Golden Globe nominations, in addition to a number of other nominations and citations.

She has starred as Lydia on the critically-acclaimed Starz series "Party Down," and as Chief on all 5 seasons of the double Emmy award-winning comedy "Childrens Hospital." Megan recurs on "Parks And Recreation," "Bob's Burgers" and "Web Therapy." Recent film work includes Smashed, Kings Of Summer, GBF and the upcoming Trouble Dolls. She has starred on Broadway in Grease, How To Succeed In Business... and Young Frankenstein, and will appear off-Broadway this spring with her husband Nick Offerman in Sharr White's two-person play, Annapurna.

Megan's band, Nancy And Beth, is currently touring the states and will soon release their eponymous first album. The band can be found on Facebook at Nancy And Beth and on Twitter @nancyandbeth.

 

Nick Offerman got his start in the Chicago theater community, where he was a founding member of the Defiant Theatre. He worked extensively at Steppenwolf, The Goodman, Wisdom Bridge and Pegasus Players, among many others. Off Broadway credits include Adding Machine at The Minetta Lane Theater. 

Television credits include "Parks & Recreation," "Children’s Hospital," "Will & Grace," "Deadwood," "George Lopez," "ER," "American Body Shop" and "24."

Films include Casa De Mi Padre, 21 Jump Street, All Good Things, Men Who Stare At Goats, Somebody Up There Likes Me and Harmony and Me. Coming soon are The Kings of Summer and We’re The Millers.

October 2013 saw the release of Nick’s first book, Paddle Your Own Canoe: One Man’s Fundamentals for Delicious Living, from E.P. Dutton Books.

Sharr White’s The Other Place received its world premiere Off-Broadway with MCC Theatre, featuring Laurie Metcalf (Lucille Lortel and Obie awards) and directed by Joe Mantello (Lucille Lortel nom). The Other Place subsequently received its Broadway premiere in the spring of 2013 at Manhattan Theatre Club with Joe Mantello again directing Laurie Metcalf (Tony nom). The Other Place was also a recipient of the 2010 Playwrights First Award; the 2011 Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation’s Theatre Visions Fund Award; and was an Outer Critics Circle Award nominee for Outstanding New Off-Broadway Play. White's The Snow Geese premiered on Broadway at the Samuel J. Friedman theatre in the fall of 2013, starring Mary Louise Parker and directed by Daniel Sullivan, as a co-production between Manhattan Theatre Club and MCC Theatre. Annapurna premiered at the Magic Theatre in San Francisco and was a finalist for the Steinberg/ATCA New Play Award. White is currently working on a commission from Steppenwolf Theatre Company.

92Y YourStage provides a venue for independent curators, performers, and educators to mount a professional production. Yourstage events are confirmed once they meet a threshold for ticket sales by a certain date.

YourStage events that are ON have been confirmed; PENDING events need to generate more ticket sales; If an event fails to generate enough ticket sales, the event will be CALLED OFF, and all ticket holders will be refunded.

Who is eligible for priority registration?

Individuals who have participated in 92nd Street Y programs over the past year in selected program areas, participants in certain memberships, and those who have made contributions of $500 or more to 92Y, are eligible to register for programs before they become available to the general public.

How do I know if I qualify?

Patrons that qualify for Priority Registration will receive packets in the mail explaining how to purchase online. Priority registration is normally mailed 2-3 weeks before a catalog is available. Registration information includes your Patron ID#. You can use this ID# to setup your login information online. This will allow you to register early for a course or event. Please note: if you receive a packet, you are only eligible to priority register for the programs covered in your packet.
