Yomi is 92Y’s flagship day camp located in Rockland County New York. Our campers experience a blend of athletic, artistic and educational activities—the quintessential summer camp experience only 20 minutes outside of New York City, with pick up in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
We are dedicated to providing the highest standard summer camp. Our expertly designed programs provide endless fun and opportunity for discovery and adventure. Whether they’re learning to dive for the first time in our Red Cross Swim program, soaring through the trees on a zip line or creating ceramics, every child is cherished and given space to grow.
Who is a Yomi camper?
Yomi campers are entering Kindergarten through fourth grade. Yomi Seniors are entering fifth and sixth grades. Our campers come from a wide variety of public and private schools. Our camp families are committed to exposing their children to the rich, diverse camp program that we offer. Children enjoy Yomi for the wide range of activities and the nurturing, high-spirited summer day camp environment.
Counselors are carefully chosen for their maturity, energy and experience with children. Senior counselors are college age and older. Specialists are skilled and experienced in the areas they teach. Unit supervisors and head counselors are caring, experienced educators with a love for children and a commitment to our camp philosophy and program. A large percentage of our staff returns year after year and many of our counselors attended our camps when they were children. The camp administration is comprised of experienced professionals who have many decades of camp experience to draw upon to ensure a fabulous summer for our campers.
