What is 92Y Shababa Network?

The 92Y Shababa Network is a professional development program designed for communities interested in working with families with young children in creative and dynamic ways. The Network offers ongoing education, implementation strategies, assessment and evaluation support for organizations seeking to develop new and meaningful communities in the spirit of 92Y’s Shababa. As a member of 92Y Shababa Network, you will be given the opportunity to experience the 92Y Shababa approach in action and then adapt it and adjust it to your own community.

92Y Shababa is led by Karina Zilberman, Director of Jewish Family Life and Culture.

All 92Y Shababa Network members receive/participate in the following:

  • Shababa Network Toolkit, including 92Y designed puppet, exclusive tutorial videos, CDs, guidebook and 92Y Shababa educational toys.

  • Admission for two participants per member organization to participate in the 92Y Shababa Network Summit in New York City (January 29th –31st 2015). The Summit is a three-day workshop incorporating key elements from the training program, experiential learning and immersion on the Shababa approach.

  • One webinar per month with 92Y’s Karina Zilberman and other guest experts on how to increase engagement of Jewish life in communities. Topics may include puppetry, the power of connection, transitions, arts and crafts, and more. *Except the months of July and August

  • Regular “office hours” with 92Y’s Karina Zilberman for one-on-one consultations.

  • Join a vibrant community made up of 92Y Shababa Network members from across the country and around the world. Share lessons learned and best practices for engaging communities in Jewish life.

  • Opportunity to co-brand 92Y Shababa Network on promotional materials.

The 92Y Shababa Network annual membership fee is $1,200 per organization.
