Patricia Hubbard-Ragette has taught handbuilding and wheel classes at 92Y since 2002. At Dowling College of Oakdale, Long Island she manages the ceramics studio and teaches as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Visual Arts where she received a Dowling College Outstanding Service Award For Adjunct Faculty, 2009. This fall, Patricia will also instruct ceramic classes at Adelphi University and SUNY Suffolk Community College. Ceramics Art & Perception and Ceramics Monthly have published Patricia’s work and writings. Selected exhibits and awards include the following: CLAY: COLLECT IT, USE IT, WEAR IT! Appalachian Women's Leadership Project, Visiting Artist, NEA/Challenge America Grant and the WV Commission of the Arts, 2008. “The Elegant Table”, a ceramic invitational at the Peters Valley Craft Center, NJ, “Skin Deep” at Francis Marion University, SC, 2nd Prize Award at the 14th San Angelo National Competition, San Angelo Museum of Fine Art, Texas, a solo exhibition at Ceres Project Room at The Elizabeth Foundation and 2001 Award Recipient, for the Arts Grants For New York State Craft Artists, Artist in Residence at Hunter College, NY. Patricia received a Masters of Fine Arts from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, 1994 and continued her studies of ceramics sculpture and pottery at Faenza, Italy, 1994-1996.
