Ana Nery Fragoso is from the Canary Islands, Spain, where she performed and choreographed extensively. She graduated form Hunter College (B.A. Dance/Education) and earned an MFA in Chreography from Sarah Lawrence College. She has been the recipient of two grants from the Ministry of Culture in Spain and a Jacob Javits Fellowship Award. Ana Nery has worked for four years as a full-time dance specialist at PS 315, a performing arts elementary school in Brooklyn, where she creates and implements a curriculum that emphasizes dance making. She is a graduate from the Dance Education Laboratory at 92nd Street Y and has received the LOD® Certificate. Ms. Ana Nery Fragoso was a member of the New York City Department of Education Blueprint writing committee.
