Debra J. Orenstein, MA; Debra started studying Isadora Duncan technique with Jeanne Bresciani in 1979 and has performed with Dancers for Isadora and the Isadora Duncan International Institute since that time. Debra has been teaching children and adults for over 20 years. She holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Arts for Children with a Dance emphasis, and a Masters Degree in Education (Special Education). Debra has been a tenured teacher and teacher trainer for the NYC Board of Education and a creative arts specialist and mentor at the School for Language and Communication Development in Nassau County. She is presently an education consultant with the Young Adult Institute/NY League for Early Learning and on the dance and theatre faculty at the Main Street Theatre and Dance Alliance. She has been a guest lecturer and instructor at NYU, St. John's University and Queens College. Debra is currently specializing in early childhood education and early intervention and is a certified NY State and City nursery, elementary and special education teacher.
